Welcome to Life after Labels
This blog is dedicated to sharing my journey living with a juvenile sex offense record from my youth at age 13 and the lifelong challenges it has brought, especially around employment, housing and social isolation. As a father of a 14-year-old daughter and someone who has undergone extensive evaluation proving my safety and rehabilitation, I aim to shed light on the gaps in resources and support and show how the registry affects families, especially children of the offender. Through transparency, honesty, and education, this blog seeks to break stigma, connect with others in similar situations, and advocate for fair opportunities for those affected.

About me
I currently reside in a group home in Phoenix Arizona. I am a father to an amazing 14 year old daughter who I previously had full time the last 5 years but is now with her mother in California. I enjoy spending time with her, playing baseball and lifting weights. Spend a lot of time hiking and exploring new places. Always enjoying good food, great conversations and live music (especially edm festivals). My life hasn't always been all doom and gloom however, currently, trying to rebuild my life completely and relying on community resources, I am met with very limited help and options. I am viewed and treated as if my offense just happened with zero regard to my past rehabilitation, treatment and time since offense. I crave social situations yet I am socially ostracized because of my past.
